What Anavar's Half Life Actually Is
Oxandrolone's elimination half life is reported at 9.4 hours in the pharmacokinetic study on which the label is based, and cited as nine to ten hours across the clinical literature, with a range of roughly eight to thirteen hours between individuals. Peak plasma concentration comes about one hour after an oral dose; the compound is absorbed almost completely, escapes first-pass liver breakdown because of its 17-alpha-alkylation, and is excreted largely unchanged in urine — around 28% as the parent compound, the rest as metabolites.

What a 9–10 Hour Half Life Means for Dosing
A half life of nine to ten hours means the blood level of a single dose falls by half every nine to ten hours. Taken once at 8 am, a 50 mg dose peaks by 9 am, is at roughly half by 6 pm, a quarter by 3 am, and an eighth by noon the next day — a wide swing between peak and trough. Split as 25 mg at 8 am and 25 mg at 8 pm, the evening dose lands as the morning one is halving, and the level stays within a much narrower band around the clock.

The split keeps the trough above 30% instead of letting it fall below 20%, and the peak lower, which is better for both results and side effects. How Long Anavar Stays in Your System
Clearance follows the half life arithmetic: after five half lives a compound is at about 3% of its peak, which is treated as gone. Does Anavar Show Up on a Drug Test?

Half Life and When to Start PCT
The half life also fixes the PCT start. Oral vs Liquid Anavar Half Life
The half life belongs to the molecule, not the format. Oxandrolone tablets and liquid oxandrolone — the compound suspended in oil or PEG for oral use — have the same nine-to-ten-hour half life once absorbed. What differs is absorption speed and dosing accuracy: a liquid may reach peak slightly faster, and its concentration is only as reliable as the lab that made it. Does Anavar Expire?
Oxandrolone tablets are chemically stable and pharmaceutical shelf life is typically three to five years from manufacture when stored dry, sealed and out of light. Past the printed date the compound degrades slowly rather than abruptly — potency drifts down over years rather than months — so a sealed bottle a year past expiry is usually close to full strength, while one stored open in a humid bathroom for the same period may not be.
